My little guy turned one the other day, so a cake smash was in order!  I asked my sister in law to make a delicious extra icing cake for the occasion.  Check out her site at The Three Cat Kitchen, she does some great work.

Enjoy a look into my morning with Keen and a cake… and yes, i am still getting cake out of the hardwood!

I had the honor of meeting Kay a few years ago at her mom and now step father’s wedding.  I liked her then, and was happy to learn that she is turning into a very bright, fun and talented young lady.  She can sing, dance and have fun!

Enjoy a quick look into the Bat Mitzvah of Kayleigh.

I was super excited to spend the afternoon with Kristin and Grey in Alexandria.  We had a great time exploring the streets and enjoying the fall colors.  If you can’t tell by the picture, their dog Izzy is their world.  They both just light up when taking photos with her.

Enjoy…

Clarissa and Will are in LOVE!  No doubt about that!  It was a night of food, friends, dancing and kissing for the newlyweds.

I met the two of them, along with their wedding planner, Brenda, from Creations by Brenda, out at Grandale Farm for a night of what I can only describe as a major kick ass party.  I was a little skeptical at first about the crowed; wasn’t sure if they were going to be dancers or drinkers…but they were both.  The dance floor really should have been the size of the whole tent, because it was packed all night.  The song list was long and not enough time for all the requests.  It was a fantastic party!

I met up with the Tucholski family the other day at the Warrenton Train Depot hear in VA. It was a stunning drive down Rt. 29, as most of the trees have changed for season.  I drank my pumpkin spice chai latte and listened to non-kid music on the radio. :)   I have never been to Warrenton before and was pleasantly surprised by the town.  It had an up and coming sort of feel; old with a little bit of new sprinkled in.

Susan had the great idea of meeting at the old train depot in downtown.  The kids enjoyed running around the train and exploring the bridge that connected the tracks to a walking path.  It was chilly, and it took little John some time to warm up to me and to the weather.  Gracie had no problem smiling and showing off for the camera!

Enjoy a look into the Tucholski Family!

It was another beautiful wedding at my home away from home, Sunset Hills Vineyard.  What I love most about Sunset, is that no matter how many weddings I have shot there, it never gets old. I always find new locations or ways to remix the old ones.  It really is a great place to get married.  It also helps to have a super fun Bride and Groom like Leah and Jon.  They are loving, family oriented, and don’t seem to take themselves very seriously.  Even with our time crunch we were able to capture the touching moments throughout the day.

A huge shout out to my fellow photographer, Traci Brooks, for second shooting along with me.  Always good to have another photographer around to chat with and get that “other” shot.

I can’t even describe how much I love this family…maybe it is because they are super cute…super nice…or that I am already friends with them.

We ran around Colvin Run Mill for a few hours and snapped a few photos while we were at it.  Enjoy a look into the life of Heather, Erik and their two little joys, Lincoln and Scarlett.
