Sharon and Ivan are simply cool and they had an awesome wedding! We started the day getting ready in my old neighborhood at the Westfields Conference Center in Chantilly, VA, followed by a ceremony and reception at the Sunset Crest Manor. It was a beautiful party with a rustic yet rock n’ roll theme. Thanks to Creations by Brenda for a seamless event and Sharon and Ivan for being such a cute couple!

Katie was one of my many college roommate while at West Chester University. We spent many hours in front of the TV together watching chick flicks and Flyers games. I was very excited when she asked me to shoot her wedding. She looked beautiful in her dress and Josh looked at her like she was the only one in the room.

Long time loves, Kristin and Matt, got hitched at the Historic St. Johns Church in Centreville, VA, followed by dinner and dancing at the Westfields Golf Club. I absolutely love Kristin and Grey. We met last year in Old Town Alexandria for their engagement shoot (found here) and have been keeping in email and Pinterest touch over the past few months. She had some great ideas for her stunning wedding held at the Birkby House in Leesburg, VA and I was very happy to spend the day with her family and friends. Grey says he is a little camera shy but when he was looking at Kristin he only had smiles and love shining from his face. The rain moved us indoors for most of the day, but we were able to steal a few moments of clear skies between the ceremony and the reception.

Sara and Mark added the Photobooth option to their wedding reception and it was a BLAST! Guests could dress up, have their photo taken and printed right then and there. We also filled a guest book for Sara and Mark to take home with hand written messages from their loved ones. Sara said the guest loved the booth and that it was the hit of the night. Sara is a stunning princess that found her Prince Charming, Mark, many years ago…high school to be exact. They had a fantastic wedding full of excitement, laughs and maybe a few happy tears. The Rock Creek Mansion was the perfect setting for the perfect couple to start their happily ever after.

Angela loves sunflowers and Dan loves wrestling. But most importantly, Angela and Dan love each other. It was a beautiful ceremony officiated by Dan’s elementary school best friend, where he added many personal touches that had the congregation laughing and crying. We then headed out to Valley Forge Park for some photos, followed by a fun and exciting reception at the Radisson. Fun was had by all.

Rebecca and JD win the award for the luckiest couple in VA! Remember that huge storm that cut power to over 3 million people on the east coast a few weeks ago…yup, this wedding still happen the day after, and without a hitch! I recently relocated to NJ from Norther VA and because of the weather decided to drive down to NOVA Saturday morning and not Friday night. Once I got to the beltway, I started noticing more and more trees down on the side of the road. Then, you could hardly see the shoulder with whole trees blocking lanes. I got off on Rt. 7 in Tysons and noticed not a single store or street light had power for miles. I then started to get worried, was this wedding even happening? I tried to use my cell, but had no service, so I decided to keep driving and bam, the first intersection with power was the salon where Rebecca was getting ready. I also got my cell service back, called the country club and they had power, as did the church. Wow, lucky, simply lucky. I think that someone up there knew they were to get married that day and made it happen!

Anne and Tony had a love fest a few weeks ago at the Hilton Garden Inn. I would consider us almost old friends at this point, as I shot her sisters wedding last year and also a friends wedding. It was great hanging with the crew again and I always love hearing, ohhh there is my favorite photographer! Anne and Tony has some cute nieces and nephews (as you can see below) and it is amazing how fast they all are growing. Enjoy a look into the wedding day of Anne and Tony!
