I have two kids and know how much of a pain taking their photo can be. As parents, we have such good intentions, but our dreams can be quickly crushed by something as little as a cookie falling on the ground. Mini sessions with Shilliday Photography are quick and easy. 30 minutes tops, one location with many backgrounds and me dancing around being silly making your kids laugh.
Mandy (aka mom of Liam (2 1/2) and Evelyn (1)) contacted me a few weeks ago about possibly doing a cake smash session with their soon to be one-year-old daughter. We decided to mix in some family photos before getting too dirty at the Barclay Farmstead in Cherry Hill. This is one of my go-to locations for mini sessions. It has an awesome bridge, a barn, brick wall, green trees and a playground for the kids to go on after the session. Liam wasn’t too interested in getting his photo taken, but he did manage to crack a smile a few times.
After a quick wardrobe change, the birthday girl got to dig into some cake! She wasn’t too interested at first, but once daddy put a little taste in her mouth, she was all in.
Happy Birthday, Evelyn! One is an important year- I am sure you are going to rock it girlfriend! And Liam, keep smiling.
