Anne and Tony had a love fest a few weeks ago at the Hilton Garden Inn.  I would consider us almost old friends at this point, as I shot her sisters wedding last year and also a friends wedding.  It was great hanging with the crew again and I always love hearing, ohhh there is my favorite photographer!  Anne and Tony has some cute nieces and nephews (as you can see below) and it is amazing how fast they all are growing.  Enjoy a look into the wedding day of Anne and Tony!  May you enjoy married life and live every moment to its fullest.

You might remember Rafe and Jill from their engagement session photos that were taken a few months ago.  We had a fun time then, but even a better time during their wedding.  The day started and ended at the Westfields Marriott in Chantilly, VA.  I always love shooting there, as it is a about a mile from my house in Virginia.  Of course, I am moving in a week, so this will no longer be my favorite (close by) location, but I will always love shooting there.  This was the first time actually having the ceremony outside for me.  The wind was picking up a little but it went off without a hitch.

Rafe only has eyes for Jill.  It was said in the toasts that they waited a long time to find each other, but not long to figure out that they were meant to be together.  They have a great family and fun friends.  The unique theme to their wedding, “Fly Me to the Moon”, was incorporated through out the night, but Rafe ended the evening doing karaoke, serenading Jill with the Sinatra hit.

Great night!  Enjoy a look into the wedding of Rafe and Jill.  May they have many happy years together.  Enjoy married life!

I wanted to write a quick note about our upcoming move to NJ.  We are relocating to our home town of Cherry Hill in late June.  But don’t worry!  If you have a wedding or event already booked for this year or next in Northern VA, I will be there!!!  I have family in the area and will be staying with them the night before and the night of your event.  If you have any questions please let me know.  Also, if you are in NOVA and want to still book me as a photographer for this or next year, shoot me an email.  I am back in the area a lot and would love to chat more about your Wedding or event.

If you are located in NJ or the tri state area I would love to hear from you.  I am currently booking 2012 and 2013 (with 2012 pricing).

Also, destination weddings are always fun!  Ask about pricing…i love to travel!

Cheers!

Nicole (and family)

Ashley met Sam in Nigeria last year and it was love at first site.  According to Ashely’s MOH, she had a rule that if anyone asked her out on a first date she would go.  Sam was Ashley’s last first date.  They both have embraced each others cultures, but have decided that Nigeria will be home.  At least if i ever do make it to Nigeria, I will have both friends and family there, as my Uncle lives in Nigeria’s capital of Lagos.

This wedding was simply fun.  The people were amazing, the food was amazing, the bride and groom were extra amazing.  Never once was the dance floor empty and never once did I not see a smile on both Sam and Ashley’s faces.

Enjoy a look in the wedding of Sam and Ashley.

I had the most amazing privilege to spend two days with Ashely and Sam. A little sneak peek into their wedding events. Huge blog post to follow.

Rafe and Jill met during the annual Katsucon convention held at the Gaylord National Harbor Resort and Convention Center.  I myself had to look up what exactly Katsucon entailed: Katsucon is an annual 3-day fan convention held in the DC metro area … dedicated to bringing information about Japanese animation, society, and traditional and popular culture to fans everywhere.  More information about Katsucon can be found here.   They were not dressed in costume, but did show how much they loved each other through deep conversation during the shoot.  They really know how to talk to one another in an intelligent, loving way. I had a great afternoon exploring the area and even was able to do a little shopping before hand :)

Enjoy a look into the engagement session of Rafe and Jill.  I can’t wait to shoot their wedding in May!

Sarah and Ben are getting married in a few short weeks out of state, but capturing their lives in DC was just as an important part of the wedding process as the professional photos that will be taken on that day.  We met at the Woodley Park Metro and headed out from there.  Both Ben and Sarah love the Marilyn Monroe mural on the corner of Calvert and Connecticut and also the Presidents mural down the street.  We were able to snap a few photos at each location with out to many on lookers, a problem some times in the city.  Ben is also a huge advocate for the City Bike Share.   He uses it most days to commute to and from work, which all of us DC city folk know can be a huge pain.  We ended our walk around town at Sarah’s apartment building, had a Starbucks to warm up, and then headed our separate ways.

I truly wish Ben and Sarah all the best and hope they remember to send me their wedding photos!  Maybe we can meet up again and do the cat photoshoot we talked about.

Enjoy!

I had the honor of spending the afternoon with Isabel and her family a few weeks ago, helping capture her Bat Mitzvah.  Isabel is a bright, beautiful young lady that I am sure will turn into a wonderful, successful woman.  She seems to have all her cards lined up at only 13.  As with all Bat Mitzvah’s, the party was a blast!

Enjoy!

My little guy turned one the other day, so a cake smash was in order!  I asked my sister in law to make a delicious extra icing cake for the occasion.  Check out her site at The Three Cat Kitchen, she does some great work.

Enjoy a look into my morning with Keen and a cake… and yes, i am still getting cake out of the hardwood!

I had the honor of meeting Kay a few years ago at her mom and now step father’s wedding.  I liked her then, and was happy to learn that she is turning into a very bright, fun and talented young lady.  She can sing, dance and have fun!

Enjoy a quick look into the Bat Mitzvah of Kayleigh.
